Zenith bolster management and wells team
An Aberdeen-based well engineering and project management company has made a key appointment following a period of significant global growth.
Zenith Energy, which was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Aberdeen, has appointed Simon Lucas as well engineering manager. Simon has worked alongside Zenith management team Martin Booth, managing director, and Chris Collie, operations manager, previously, successfully managing several multi-client, multi rig well programmes in the UKCS and internationally.
The appointment is the latest for the independent firm, following a highly successful twelve months, which saw Zenith grow its client base and successfully complete work in the UK, Egypt, Italy and Equatorial Guinea for both new and existing clients.
Zenith Energy provides a range of specialist services to the oil and gas industry from its headquarters in the city’s Bon Accord Square.
Simon brings over 25 years’ experience in the industry and will be responsible for overseeing project teams during both planning and operations. He will also provide management oversight as required, working internationally and from the Aberdeen office.
Alongside Simon, Euan Cadger and Alastair MacKinnon join the firm as drilling engineers and will work on a number of key international offshore projects, adding significant value to the well engineering team with strong wellsite and office based experience of projects in UK, Europa and Africa.
Managing director of Zenith Energy, Martin Booth, said: “Simon brings extensive industry knowledge and management experience to this position which will be instrumental as the company looks to continue our business success.
“Zenith Energy now operates across 15 countries and we will look to further expand our reach and client base by ensuring we have the right people in place to deliver the high level of service our clients have come to expect.”
