SBP accountants and Tax Advisers adds to expert team in Banff
A leading North-east accountancy firm has added two new members of staff to its Banff office to meet demand from clients.
SBP Accountants & Tax Advisers, which also has offices in Aberdeen, Peterhead, Fraserburgh has appointed Emma Keith as tax senior and Dennis Law as accounts assistant.
SBP employs 35 members of staff and six partners throughout the firm’s four branches, working with a number of high profile North-east companies, ranging from sole traders to larger corporate businesses.
Ms Keith, 36, brings a wealth of experience to the role, with 20 years experience in the industry, working as a tax senior for five years at a leading name in the accountancy sector before joining SBP.
She will be responsible for the preparation and completion of personal tax returns and dealing with questions and queries on other tax matters.
Accounts assistant, Mr Law, 32, has six years experience, previously working at a North-east accountancy firm, and in the oil and gas sector.
He will use his experience to assist with the preparation of accounts, and to provide support with VAT returns and payroll duties, using the latest accountancy software.
SBP, reinvests a high amount of money into new technology to make their processes more automated, streamlined and efficient and uses Cloud accounting software, to provide clients with real-time, user-friendly access to their accounting.
The firm has also achieved Gold accreditation on its client-interfacing software, Xero, due to switching around 150 clients from using traditional accountancy methods to the cloud in a short time. The firm now has 20Xero certified staff members.
