Motive Offshore Group joins forces with Cutting Underwater Technologies
A division of a leading North-east offshore services firm has entered a cooperation agreement with a global service provider for the provision of diamond wire cutting in the Middle East.
Motive FZC, based in Dubai, UAE and a division of Motive Offshore Group, headquartered in Boyndie near Banff, has joined forces with Cutting Underwater Technologies (CUT)to offer a comprehensive range of diamond wire cutting equipment in the Middle East.
The partnership will see Motive FZC holding an extensive range of CUT equipment at Motive’s facilities in Dubai. Over the coming months, Motive’s team of experienced hydraulic technicians will undergo training by CUT specialists to qualify them to maintain the equipment and support CUT in offshore cutting operations.
Motive Offshore Group, which comprises of Motive Engineering, Motive Rentals, Motive FZC, Motive Renewables, Motive Fabrication and Motive Spooling and Inspection, specialises in the manufacture and rental of high capacity winches, umbilical deployment equipment and specialised subsea equipment.
Services also include wire rope inspection and testing, bespoke design and fabrication. The firm has experienced exceptional growth since launching in 2010, with locations in the UK, Norway, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates.
Cutting Underwater Technologies, which has bases in Aberdeen, Rio de Janeiro and Singapore, has more than 25 years’ experience in providing bespoke diamond wire cutting solutions globally, successfully performing more than 6000 cuts.
CUT has been involved in most of the major decommissioning projects completed in the UK to date, including work on the Shell Brent Delta in 2016 and the CNRI Murchison Platform in 2017.
